I just read this great quote the other day.
“You can’t steal second with your foot on first.”
So you’re probably wondering how this applies to your health and fitness.
For the first 20 years of my health and fitness journey I did exactly this.
I thought working out was the key.
So I was trying to reach my goal with exercise.
But I still had my foot on first (lack of nutrition).
I started eating healthier but still felt like I just wasn’t getting enough and I still had cravings and low energy.
In this day, we are getting hit with stress and we have invisible stressors, electromagnetic stressors, we have stress in the water that we’ve never had before. We have chemicals in the atmosphere. All of that stuff creates cortisol, all of that creates stress on the body. So our bodies actually require more nutrient density than ever.
The problem is that our food supply has not increased in nutrient density… It has actually gone down with all of these extra stressors around us.
We don’t realize how deprived we actually are until one day the compounded effect of it hits us.
So that’s why I make sure to get a dense dose of nutrition every day.
