What do you eat for breakfast?

Do you know the one food group most people are missing in their breakfast?

Vegetables!

I was just listening to an interview with Tony Horton (creator of P90X).

He was talking about breakfast.

He posted on his fanpage what he had for breakfast and asked people to comment with what they eat for breakfast.

Out of over 500 comments there were only a few dozen that listed vegetables.

The most popular were oatmeal, fruits and eggs.

The most popular breakfast items people eat are:

  • Eggs
  • Bacon / Sausage / Ham
  • Doughnuts
  • Pancakes / French Toast
  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Fruits
  • Toast / Bagels / Muffins
  • Yogurt
  • Juice
  • Coffee / Tea

And I even looked through an article on top healthy breakfast foods from a health site.

I don’t see vegetables.

Weird that the healthy food group gets missed first thing in the morning.

Starting off the day with the healthiest meal sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Imagine the difference in your day starting with donuts versus with vegetables.

Like night vs day.

So try to sneak some veggies in your breakfast.

I usually put them in an omelet or add them to scrambled eggs.
