What do you do after you break it?

It’s January and this is the most popular time of year for people to break negative habits.

I just got message from a lady saying “So far so good. I stopped drinking a 12 pack of sodas a day”.

That’s a lot of soda.

I can’t even imagine drinking that much.

That’s GREAT news!

She’ll be seeing some drastic results.

But my question for her is: “What did you replace the negative habit with?”

The key to success at breaking negative habits is to replace them with a positive one.

Maybe instead of the soda she’s drinking green tea or lemon water.

Here are some negative habits and something positive you can replace them with:

  • Stressed out? – Find an activity to do, read an inspiring book.
  • Feel tense? – Go for a walk.
  • Craving sweets? – Focus on breathing deeply and go have a tall glass of water.

It will take practice.

If you get into these situations just find something that will take your mind off of the negative habit.

It will take practice.

But everything takes practice if you want to get good at it.
