Happy Thanksgiving! (I’m in Canada so we had ours in October).
What’s the one thing that you think of when someone says Thanksgiving?
Hopefully it’s not Black Friday.
For most it’s Gratitude!
People take the time to think about what they are grateful for.
Why do we just wait for this one day to be grateful?
If you listen or read books by the most successful people you’ll notice that they practice this every day.
Because once you are grateful for what you have then you’ll start to have more.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey
Here are some of the benefits of practicing gratitude consistently:
- increased energy.
- emotionally intelligent
- less likely to be depressed, anxious or lonely.
- you tend to feel happier.
- more optimistic, higher potential.
- feel more socially connected
- improve sleep quality.
- improve health
Take some time to recognize what you already have in your life.
What are you grateful for today?
Who are you grateful for?
What have you accomplished that was once a goal?
Doing this every day will help you realize what you have accomplished and already brought into your life.
Try it out!
Have a great thanksgiving!
