Insanity Max 30 is being released on December 2nd, 2014 and a lot of people are comparing it to the original Insanity. Shaun T was talking about how this Max 30 is different from Insanity and by the sounds of it there will be some similarities in the workouts but with a lot of new moves and a new format.

How is Insanity Max 30 different than Insanity?
Insanity max 30 is a little bit crazier than Insanity.
Shaun T took “max interval circuit” along with “max plyo” from insanity and turned them into 30 minutes.
The workout is what people wanted from Insanity and adding a modifier.
The workouts are only 30 minutes so they are shorter than Insanity.
Insanity has a fit test every 2 weeks that was done in addition to the regular workout. With Insanity Max 30 every day is a fit test. There is no need to do an added workout for this. Your max out time acts as your test so you can see if you are improving each week.
Is the workout format different?
The intervals in the program are different as well. In Insanity there were 4 moves at 30 seconds each with a 30 second break. In Max 30 there are 3 moves at 30 seconds each but they are each done 3 times. So each circuit is 4.5 minutes instead of 2 minutes. You are doing more; it’s a bit hard and longer too.
In the second month there is an extra minute added to the end of the circuit which you do a power move.
Max 30 really focuses on the recovery time so you get the full 30 seconds for recovery instead of having to get up off the ground and half of your recovery time is gone (like happens several times in Insanity).
What is different about Insanity Max 30?
The moves are designed so you are constantly working but doing different types of exercises. For instance, there will be a floor move followed by a standing move, followed by a floor move so even though you are ready to max out you may get that extra burst going to another move that is totally different. So you feel a little bit fresher.
There are 150 new moves that you haven’t seen in Insanity.
Max out training – Push yourself to the limit until you need an unscheduled break. Use this time as your fit test to see if you are progressing each week.
Is Insanity Max 30 good training for sports?
Yes. Unlike the average workout that is just for the purpose of giving you a good workout, Insanity Max 30 was created to help you become better at sports like running, skiing, basketball, tennis, hockey and many other sports. It’s not just a workout for the sake of working out.
Here’s what Shawn T has to say about the program:
“I create programs not just to get you a six pack but to get you to be really like connect to yourself and to be self-motivated beyond the 60 days. Because for me if your body changes so what, if you don’t have fitness as a lifestyle it’s not going to continue. So for me when you’re in the push-up, you have no weights, no equipment, in that push-up position and have one more to do you are able to push yourself up off the floor with amazing form. You can literally at the end of that workout pat yourself on the back and say I did that. I didn’t have a dumbbell, and the entire time Shaun T (yes that’s me) is on the screen motivating you. You did it”
The goal is to keep improving your personal best from the previous week.
