I made it to week 3 of Insanity Max 30.

This program is really motivating.

Shaun T really gets in your face and pushes you the whole workout.

This week the Tabata strength workout is added into the program.

Day 15

December 22nd

Cardio challenge today.

I maxed out at 7:48.

A big improvement from the previous week.

This workout is also on the last day of the program so I can see if I have progressed.

Next week will be my last week of the first month so I get one more shot at improving this time before the last day.


Day 16

December 23rd

Today’s workout was Tabata Strength.

This was my first time doing this workout.

#imaxedout at 7:12.

I didn’t feel like maxing out during the warm-up today.

There was a break at about 5 minutes in.

I was expecting another break but there wasn’t one.

I think it was the diamond jump burpees that I maxed out during or after.

It’s all a blur.

It’s a nice mix of upper and lower body with different types of push-ups.


Day 17

December 24th

Today was sweat intervals.

I maxed out at 8:50 which was over a minute longer than last week.

I also did Ab Attack 10 minute workout and maxed out at 3:15.

Once I made it through the first exercise the next one was easier for me.

Made it all the way to the 4th exercise.

Maxed out several times after.

I have noticed that I’m not sore the next day after a workout even though I am pushing my muscles to the max.

With enough sleep and the right recovery your body can do much more and recover faster than without.


Day 18

December 25th

Merry Christmas

I maxed out today at 7:48.

This Tabata strength workout really pushes you.

It’s all a blur but I think there is only one break at the beginning.

There are several of what Shaun T calls recovery exercises. These are lower impact and not as intense.

There is a nice mix of exercises and they change up from a floor exercise to standing exercise.

Lots of push-ups and downward dog push-ups too.

You’ll get a great chest and shoulder workout with this one.

Day 19

December 26th

Tough workout today after the turkey Christmas dinner last night.

Had a few treats that I shouldn’t have had.

#imaxedout at 8:37 today.

An improvement of 37 seconds today.

Time to get back to the grind for these last 5 weeks of the program.

Lovin it so far.

Really pushing yourself first thing in the morning gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Looking forward to the new workouts in week 5.
