It almost feels like Christmas is coming early this year.
I know it’s not all about the presents but sometimes I’m still a kid inside.
I love it how Beachbody releases a new program just before Christmas each year so I can get excited about starting the new year.
I was watching a Q&A with Shaun T last week and he was getting asked about his new program “Insanity Max 30” that is about to be released on December 2nd, 2014.
When I first heard about the program I wasn’t really that excited.
I thought… oh great another extreme workout (<–Sarcasm).
I had tried the first Insanity a few years ago and after 2 workouts I decided it wasn’t for me.
It was just too intense!
I remember dropping to the floor and doing a 10 minute savasana (lying on the floor) at the end of the workouts just to catch my breath so I didn’t pass out.
I guess I was in pretty bad shape.
It’s not a fun feeling.
Since then I’ve done his easier program Focus T25.
25 minutes with less intensity and a modifier.
Less Intensity = My type of workout.
And I got great results… even though I hate cardio.
It was only 10 weeks.
Until I listened to the Q&A
Here are some of the questions and answers.
Can a beginner start with Insanity Max 30?
Absolutely. A beginner can start as long as you’re mind wants to do it.
It’s not for a person that’s lazy, it’s not for a person that makes excuses, it’s only for the person that wants to take their body to peak physical condition.
What is the difference between Insanity and Insanity Max 30?
Modifier – Insanity Max 30 includes a modifier the entire time that you can choose to follow.
Only 30 Minutes – Unlike the longer workouts from Insanity. This program is 30 minutes each workout.
Fit test – Instead of an extra workout every two weeks for the fit test, every workout is a fit test so you can see how you are progressing.
Would you say it’s more of a mental challenge than a physical one? Is mindset really key here?
I would say it’s 100% mind because your body is only going to what your body can do. We all have a different beginning point. The first day that I ever worked out on my weight loss journey I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I would get today. When you think about it, it’s not about that, it’s about how far you can go today.
That’s just part of the Q&A. You can find my other posts about this program here: http://darrenletourneau.com/category/at-home-workout-programs/insanity-max-30/
I’ll be adding more up until the release.
